These're two that were made earlier this year, the first one of the was done for a lady in Thailand and the second one was made for a lady in Washington state. I can do this same type of thing for you as well! All I need are to see a few nice pics of your pet and have a short conversation with you to discuss specifics. It'd be really cool to make you something! I can paint humans as well! Ad landscapes, sci-fi/fantasy/comic book stuff, whatever you'd like

Vision d'artiste, vision d'enfant
Misty Lindsey et moi.

In Rupy C. Tuts dreamlike paintings, figures fold into landscapes in a struggle to belong.

This one right here was done for a lady in California a few months ago. Msg me if you're interested in having any of your favorite photos painted! Id love to make you something nice! :angery:

"Jeanne Hbuterne," Adameo Modigliani, 1919.

I'm not a huge fan of Modigliani but that could just be a me thing, not because his art is lacking. He's definitely playing with form here, while still communicating his mistress' coquettish pose. The two met in 1917 and had quite the love affair, but in 1920 Modigliani's health failed and he passed away Jeanne, pregnant with his second child, died by suicide two days later.

And thus ends my informal Portrait Week. Next week will be another theme.

3 sketches from my life drawing class practicing different positions and techniques. One pencil one pen and one pastels

Saw yesterday someone saying that portraiture isnt real art, which was a shame as theyre an artist whose work Id admired and whos done commissions for friends. Even considered commissioning them myself and glad I didnt now. Apparently the reason AI always does portraits is because it takes no skill. Oh, well. This is my unskilled offering then. Started at the cabin but only got the chance to finish last night.

Happy 99th(!!) to my maternal ! Here we are at O'Hare to pick up my mom from her 1st business trip to San Francisco:

About a year and a half ago, this one was made for a Star Wars fan in New York state. He asked to have his dog Vader painted as Darth Vader, and he sent me a few pics of his dog and this is what I came up with. I'd love to paint any ideas you've got for paintings!

Malick Sidib Portraits

Born in Mali 1936

"As a rule, when I was working in the studio, I did a lot of the positioning. As I have a background in drawing, I was able to set up certain positions in my portraits. I didnt want my subjects to look like mummies. I would give them positions that brought something alive in them.

When you look at my photos, you are seeing a photo that seems to move before your eyes. Those are the sort of poses I gave them. Not poses that were inert or lifeless. No. People who have life need to be positioned that way."
